The parishioners of St. Thomas the Apostle welcome you to our celebration of the Holy Eucharist. We are glad you chose to worship and honor God through the Holy Mass with us.

Participating in Mass is an extremely important part of our Catholic faith. When faithful believers participate at Mass, they look forward to receiving Holy Communion. When we gather for the Eucharist as the body of Christ, we place our lives in God’s hands.

The Mass is the perfect sacrifice, created by Jesus. Through the priest, we offer Jesus, Body and Blood, to the Father, just as Jesus offered Himself to the Father on the Cross. In an unbloody way, we make present Christ’s death and Resurrection and offer God our praise, sorrow for our sins, and deepest thanks.

The Eucharist is Jesus’ real flesh and real blood, under the appearance of bread and wine. When we receive Holy Communion, we receive Jesus Himself (John 6:55-56). It strengthens our union with Jesus. It cleanses us from venial sins. It gives us the grace to avoid sin in the future. And it increases our love of God and neighbor.

God asks us to give the first and best to Him. This includes giving the first hour of our week to Him through participation in the Sunday Mass. Is that too much to give to God who has given us everything?

If you haven’t been to Mass in a while… Don’t worry!

Since the Church is a family, we miss those Catholics who may have left the Church or who have stopped participating in its vibrant liturgy and sacramental life. Perhaps you or someone you know are in this situation and do not know how to come back or how to become active again. The first thing you need to know is that you are always welcome back. The Church misses you and hopes that you will choose to come home as an active member.

Please join us for Daily Mass

Daily Mass is celebrated on Monday through Friday at 8:15 a.m. These Masses are relatively easy to schedule within your workday because they are typically kept to 30 minutes. Mass is our greatest prayer and a tremendous means of grace. Consider making daily Mass a regular part of your morning. You won’t be sorry if you do. Attending daily Mass can be a life-changing experience. We hope you’ll join us!

To the Parents of Young Children

You are always welcome here “If there is no crying the Church is dying!” Quietly explain the parts of the Mass and actions of the priest, musicians, ushers, etc. Sing the hymns, pray, and voice the responses. Children learn how to act at Mass by copying you and watching others. Consider sitting toward the front where it is easier for your little ones to engage. It’s OK to walk with your little one in the back of church to comfort and calm them. If you must leave Mass with your child, feel free to do so, but please come back. As Jesus said, “Let the children come to me.” The presence of children is a gift to the church. They give us a “future full of hope!” Thank you for caring so much about Christ and your Catholic faith that you bring your little ones to church, even though it may be stressful at times!

We’re fortunate that every entrance to the church is at the parking lot level–no stairs at all. Accessible washrooms are available in the back of church to the right of the large mural. Assisted hearing devices for persons with difficulty hearing. Request a hearing receiver from any usher.
